Small round shaped fruits, yellow and orange in color encased in husks. Good source of vitamins. Bears fruit 4-5 months after planting. Grows best in low water conditions. Replace plants every 2 years. Frost tender.
Cape gooseberries are eaten as both fruits and vegetables cooked in recipes. Cape gooseberry is used to make jam, jelly, pudding, pie. Ensure that only ripe fruits are eaten.
