Lynx Picatinny mounts are machined from steel. The Picatinny standard defines the dimensions of a Picatinny rail which is most easily recognisable by the 5mm castellations that are machined along the full top length of the steel. The Lynx Picatinny 20MOA rails are downward tapered to provide for an extra 20MOA of vertical adjustment of your scope which may be necessary if you are shooting over long distances.
