FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS
• Consult a Feedtek nutritionist if alternative ingredients are available
• Wheat, Triticale and / or barley may contribute up to 50% of the total grain meal
• Soya-, cotton-, canola- or sunflower oilcake meal may be used – minimum 36 % protein
• Replace up to 10% of the grain meal with molasses meal or molasses syrup if preferred
• Add 1 unit Feedtek Buffer Pack per ton of feed to help prevent acidosis
• Roughages should be milled to prevent sorting and restrict wastage
• Adapt animals gradually onto these feeds – consult Feedtek for a program
• Feed complete finisher feeds and complete feeds for shows ad lib after adaptation
• Feed finisher feed ad lib after adaptation together with unrestricted good quality roughage
• Feed show meal at 1 – 2% of live weight depending on required rate of gain in condition together with
